Meet Atavia, a resilient and devoted mother of two, whose unwavering faith has been the guiding force behind her transformative journey to create a nonprofit organization catering to the unique needs of single mothers. 

After navigating the complexities of facing homelessness, balancing work and parenting, Atavia recognized the lack of tailored support for single mothers in her community. Fueled by her own experiences, she decided to channel her passion for advocacy into a meaningful cause. In 2015, she founded “Purpose Fulfilled,” a nonprofit aimed at combating homelessness in Atlanta, Ga. Though her mission changed after having children, the vison remained the same…her purpose and passion to give back. She revamped the mission to focus more on what she could truly identify with.

Atavia’s tireless efforts in building Purpose Fulfilled from the ground up reflect her commitment to making a difference. Providing financial assistance, organizing givebacks to establishing a network of mentors, Atavia has created a robust support system for single mothers seeking guidance. Her organization provides resources and support for housing and childcare assistance, career development, and emotional support, fostering a sense of community among its members on PURPOSE.
